The Interior Design Society has chosen All Star Children’s Foundation as their main charity to support this year.  Julie Szymczak, President of IDS stated that “We feel that what All Star stands for is so important.  There are too many abused and neglected children in the system who need help.  We are excited to be a part of this groundbreaking endeavor to help the children of today who will become the adults running our society tomorrow.”

As part of this support, IDS recently sponsored LIVE, the Luxury Industry Vendor Event at Ringling College of Art and Design.  Proceeds from the event will benefit All Star. In addition to their financial support, IDS will be working with members to furnish one of the homes on our Campus of Hope and Healing.

All Star Children’s Foundation was a part of the event with a booth that featured a model of the campus constructed by students from Sarasota Technical College.  The booth provided an opportunity to meet and talk with members of the design industry.  Vendors stopped by to speak with us about our organization and the plans for the campus.  Several vendors committed to providing their services or products to the homes as they are built.

We look forward to working with those vendors and many others who asked how they could be a part of changing the lives of foster children in our community.   By working together, we can furnish the homes that will make our dream of creating a safe place for children to heal from the trauma of child abuse.
